Today when I was getting dinner, I asked for a small milkshake. They said, “I’m sorry sir, we only have those in junior, regular, and large.” I was a bit stunned at the response, but I suppose people in the drive-through don’t have the power to make assumptions like junior = small. What ever happened to Small, Medium, and Large? Now those were some great drink-size descriptions.
Anyway, new update on Tales of Phantasia PSX!
- A shot showing off the after battle sequence. Look at the nice item names.
- Not a final shot obviously, this shows what the in-battle tech screen looks like for Cless. The small font on this screen is just a test for the variable-width, so don’t worry.
- This isn’t a final screen either. The in-battle item screen. The numbers need to be moved right and the : is going to be removed.
I would like it noted that all of those graphical glitches are a result of the fact that I haven’t yet translated all the strings, so don’t think they’re Gemini’s fault. He’s a wizard, and he’s capable of no error. (I actually mean that.) So please accept my apologies for those problems.
On my side, I’m finally done with item descriptions, man those were long. Now hopefully I can get to the rest of the menu stuff that’s left and then onwards and upwards to the really good stuff, the main script! Also, Gemini introduced me to something that’s now one of my favorite features ever. Automatic linebreaks! This means I can just type, I don’t have to figure out how to size up every description by hand. Talk about useful, this has made things so easy on me as a translator! Anyway, I’m in the groove, so I’ve got to get back to work!
